Catch the train to Singleton from Sydney (via Newcastle), go by bus or drive. Singleton is located on the New England Highway between Sydney and Brisbane, about 3 hours drive north of Sydney. Drive north on the Newcastle expressway, follow the signs to Cessnock and Hunter Valley vineyards, then travel to Branxton and turn left onto the New England Highway to Singleton. Turn to right off highway following signs to Lake St Clair and Carrowbrook and left turn 5km on Mt Royal Road. Callicoma Hill is about 45 km from Singleton and about 2.5 hours drive from Hornsby.

A scenic alternative is to drive to Windsor and take the Putty Road to Singleton through Wollemi and Yengo National Parks. Visit the historic towns of Maitland, Morpeth, Singleton or Wollombi. See the renowned Hunter Valley Vineyards and taste the wines. Take a drive along the scenic Putty Road through Wollemi and Yengo National Park. Picnic at Lake St Clair.

There is no public transport to Callicoma Hill but special arrangements can be made to organise pickup from Singleton.
