New greeting cards & Great Hunter Region Walks Map

Callicoma Hill eco-cabins recently produced a set of 4 high quality greeting cards showing the superb locations of some of the walks described in the 20 Great Hunter Region Walks map.

The guide to 20 great bushwalks of the Hunter Valley is a great gift to yourself or your friends and gives basic directions for some of the best bushwalking locations in the Hunter Region. The map outlines 20 Great Walks suitable for people with a range of experience and fitness.

Greeting cards are available from Callicoma Hill.

The walks map may may be purchased from Singleton Visitor Information Centre (phone 02 6571 5888), Scone, Maitland, Dungog, Murrurundi, Tea Gardens and Gloucester Visitor Information Centres, Hunter Wetlands Centre, the Adventure 195 shop in King Street, Newcastle, and Trek & Travel in Kent Street, Sydney plus some other locations.

Radio programs, kids cubby house building . . . . . and more

During 2013, Callicoma Hill will be the location of four cubby house building weekends for children aged between 7 and 11 years.

Playing in nature has been shown to provide important health and educational benefits for children. 'Nature deficit disorder' has also been recognised as a widespread concern.

These weekends provide an opportunity for children and their parents or carers to learn some skills and develop an appreciation for nature. Dates are 19/20 January, 16/17 March, 27/28 April and 25/26 May.
